Supply and installation of ductwork
Deva and Sons Ltd provides the supply and installation of a ductwork ventilation package for commercial and industrial buildings. Our dedicated team of trained and experienced engineers will handle the ventilation element of varying complexities and sized projects from start to finish.
Pressure testingÂ
We test that ductwork leakage is within the allowable rates stated in BESA DW144. HVAC leakage is a crucial aspect of testing and commissioning for new buildings, as well as refurbishment works.
Ductwork leakage is the unintentional escape of air from a duct system through gaps, cracks, or openings in ducts caused by poor installation, ageing of duct materials, inadequate sealing, or physical damage. This can result in failure to comply with regulations, reduce air quality, energy efficiency, and uneven heating or cooling.
Fire rated ductworkÂ
Deva and Sons Ltd works with Fenland Fire Contracts for the supply of our fire rated ductwork requirements. The ductwork is manufactured to comply with BS476 Part 24 requirements. All fire rated systems are inspected following installation, and a certificate of conformity is issued.
Insulation for heating and ventilationÂ
Deva and Sons Ltd can undertake all of your HVAC insulation needs, such as thermal insulation, sound proofing, fire resistance insulation, etc. When you have your HVAC system insulated, you can expect to save money on your energy bills, as well as preventing issues such as condensation and reducing unwanted noise.
Ductwork maintenance (cleaning)Â
The purpose of cleaning and maintaining your ductwork systems is to remove debris, dust particles, and bacteria, and stops them being transmitted through your premises. We recommend assessing your HVAC systems annually to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of everyone who uses the building, as well as optimising the efficiency of your ventilation system. We also undertake biological cleaning for medical and food production requirements.
Fire dampers drop test and inspectionÂ
Deva and Sons Ltd installs, tests, and visually inspects fire dampers following installation, to ensure they perform correctly in an emergency.
Our experienced engineers will manually release the fire damper and visually check the integrity of the fusible link mechanism to ensure they all close fully on release, to prevent the spread of smoke and fire in an emergency situation. A test certificate is completed and issued upon completion of each test.
